Dr Colin Walsh

I am an Obstetrician and Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist with 22 years’ experience. I am based in St. Leonards on the North Shore of Sydney, although I look after women from all across NSW.  

I am a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, UK and a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. I am also an accredited sub-specialist in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) from the RCOG, London and a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

I have a PhD in the pelvic floor from the University of New South Wales (2012) and a Diploma in Child Health (2004).

My specialist training was undertaken in Sydney, Dublin, New York and Cambridge.

Prior to moving into full-time private practice, I was a Senior Staff Specialist in Obstetrics at the Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit of Royal North Shore Hospital. From 2008-2011, I completed a female pelvic floor fellowship at St George Hospital, Sydney.

In addition to my clinical experience, I am very active in teaching and research. I have published more than 90 scientific papers, written chapters for major medical textbooks, acted as a reviewer for international medical journals and written a guest editorial for the British Medical Journal.
